Fiscal Year 2026, which ended Sept. 30, marked the 19th year of the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation’s commitment to contribute to a thriving Arlington.

Since 2007, the city’s largest charitable endowment has underwritten more than 575 programs or projects totaling $57.2 million for local nonprofits and City of Arlington departments. The Foundation believes in the power of philanthropy to ensure that residents are cared for physically and mentally, are enriched by arts, cultural and educational programming, and have access to meaningful resources and opportunities to help them achieve their American Dream.

150th Anniversary

In 2026, Arlington celebrated its 150th anniversary, and the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation invested nearly $900,000 in sesquicentennial projects and activities that brought residents together, honored the city’s history, and created lasting community legacies. These efforts included major public art installations such as Touched by Time, a new glass sculpture and interactive sundial for Founders Plaza Park; new murals across North Arlington, Downtown, and the International Corridor; and the installation of a UTA Spirit Horse in the Urban Union district. Commemorative items helped residents take part in the celebration citywide. The Foundation also supported community engagement through the 150th Bookmark Contest, the 150th Employee Giving Match, extensive tree planting, and numerous 150th Community Grants awarded to local nonprofits.

FY2026 Giving

In the past year, the Foundation underwrote more than $7.6 million in programming and capital projects designed to address food insecurity, enrich cultural and recreational experiences, support education, strengthen nonprofits and expand community services.
